I am thinking about ordering this program. I love the fact that you can have kids a different levels and still teach the same thing as the main concept. I will have two in LG if I do this and one has a learning disability with reading and writing and in the future I will have another one with developmental delays joining. I am wondering does this work well with the ones with learning disabilites? How hard is it to do with more than one kids? Can I start with any year or do I have to start with year one? I see you need to get math seperatly how about grammar, spelling and science? Sorry so many questions. I just want to know what I am getting into with this. Also how long does it take you to do this? Could I do this at half pace with a 9 and 7 year old?

Thanks so much for any advice ladies! Smiler

Both of my kids had a history of developmental delays. We started TOG when they were 9 and 11 and have done extremely well with TOG. TOG is extremely adaptable, in all the ways you are questioning about. You can take this half pace if you want, or regular pace. You can start with any year. I have flexed it according to what has worked best for my kids and they are now pretty much doing it as written without any modifications. They have had a lot of fun with it! I have lots of posts at my blog on how we've used TOG.

You are the master, so you just make it fit you.

All my kids have various signs of dyslexia. Mostly on the mild side, but I still have to use multi-sensory teacher intensive methods with all 4.

I do go at a slower pace, not quite half pace. It will probably take 6 years to get through all 4 years of TOG. I have all my younger dc in LG and my oldest is UG just moving up to D a little. She has the least amount of reading issues, so she is fine with moving up. My 2nd dd does a combo of the LG and UG lit depending on the book. Mostly LG as she is a very slow reader. I read aloud the LG to the kiddos while they eat lunch, then I have my oldest do additional reading from the UG choices.

It isn't exactly the way TOG is written but it works for us.
