Our co-op would like to do fewer books than all that are listed for the Di and Rh levels of Literature for Year 1. Has anyone been in a co-op that used an abbreviated Literature List for Year 1? How did you decide what to leave in and what to leave out? Does anyone have any recommendations of books from these lists they would consider absolutely essential, and which ones might be OK to bypass for the moment?

Hi Kate,
I am teaching a Rhetoric level Lit class in our co-op. I have our abbreviated literature list that we will be using on an Excel document. I'd be happy to send it to you if you have Excel. If you don't have Excel, I can try to retype it here later. I based my decisions on the frequency the book was used in TOG, and the widespread familiarity of the literature.
