I am getting readyto start the newspaper project with my co-op-- I lead the UG and D groups. Has anyone completed this? I was considering each student, or family to have an individual newspaper to keep. How did you "publish" it at the end so that it looked like a newspaper and their hard work was shocased. Any ideas or experiences to share? Tank you in advance

this is probably way too late, but I have been having the children submit via email to me or in person, short reports, artwork photos, poems, etc. I then enter them into a newsletter that is given out on our end of unit celebrations. So far, we have had the Egyptian Times, the Greek Gazette and in two weeks, we will be publishing the Israeli Insights.
I put it all together using a newsletter template from PrintShop. It goes together very easily. I have also taken photos and include one collage page of what the children have done at our co-op for the last page of the newsletter. It's nice to see what everyone is doing within our co-op and the children get to read some neat articles that others have written. It also inspires the children to write because there is a purpose behind it. It is also nice to present the newsletters that your children's published works are in when it comes to evaluations and having to meet with your evaluator (we live in PA and this is mandatory).
