Can some one please give me specific dates that TOG will be supporting Year 4 , Unit 2 start date ( including all support materials - ie Map Aides, Government etc.)? I have searched the web site and can not find specific dates for a start date for Unit 2, or Unit 3. The email sent out this morning has confused some of my co-op mambers and so I would like some clarification.

Thanks,
Dawn

Sorry for any confusion. We had hoped to clear it up, not cause it! Smiler

We support the following start dates and vacation breaks this coming year. These are "drop dead" dates and we are working to stay ahead of them, but can make no guarantees.

Unit 1: Start teaching Week 1 August 24.

Unit 2: Begins on October 26 (week off for Thanksgiving and two weeks for Christmas break). Unit 2 was released yesterday; we are working to finalize Unit 2 supplements for release no later than October 17.)

Unit 3: Begin January 18. Most of you will plan to take a spring break at some point. Many take a week off during Holy Week or the week after, which means either during this unit, between its end and the start of Unit 4, or after the first week of Unit 4. Currently, we plan to release Unit 3 well before Christmas; as always, we need your prayers, however. (We will be working to get all Unit 3 supplements complete and out by the last week of December, but the holidays can be busy for our staff as well, and this deadline may squeak into the first week of January. As is always the case, we have the fallback possibility of posting a few beginning weeks of each supplement on our website as a stopgap measure if they're not quite complete.)

Unit 4: Begin March 29, unless you are doing Holy Week break, then this can move earlier or later, depending. Again, we're hoping for a release date of the week-plans for this unit no later than the end of February, and possibly (and prayerfully) a bit sooner. Supplements will again follow, we hope, probably in the latter half of March.

This schedule has people ending school in the last week of May, 2010.

I am unable to print from the curriculum on my black/white Canon copier.

From:
Windows XP Pro 5.1
Locklizard 2.5.112
Trying to print one page in the Year4, Unit 1, Week 2 curriculum.

When I set it up to print, the computer pops up with "Invalid printer selected. Please choose another printer that is not a multi-function device."

Thank you for your prompt response, Ray!

Hi, Laurie!

From the FAQ page:

Q: My printer is a multi-function printer (printer, scanner, copier, fax, and toaster oven) and I get an error when I try to open LockLizard protected files. What can I do?

A: LockLizard Safeguard is looking for certain words and phrases in the name of the printer. Since Lampstand Press does not prohibit the use of multi-function printers, the way to get around this limitation is to change the name of your printer. Rename the computer by the manufacturer and the model number. For example, if you have a Black & Decker All-in-One TRO420, you may want to rename the printer Black & Decker 420.

PC: Start > Control Panel > Printers. Right-click on the printer icon and select Rename.

Mac: Apple Menu > System Preferences > Print & Fax. Select your printer and select Printer Setup. From the drop down menu in the Printer Info dialog box, select Name & Location.
