Our Tapestry of Grace DE release is just DAYS away! Want a sneak peek? We need exactly ten of the least tech savvy people in our customer base to come forth as testers. If digital Tapestry sounds intimidating, or if you really don't know much about using your computer and always get your kids to help you, we need your help! (No fair letting your kids help with this one, though!)

Using Tapestry DE is a snap, but downloading and installing it can be confusing to newbies. We want to make sure that our customers get the help they need so they don't give up on TOG DE before they start! So, we need a few good women who will take the time early next week to go through the process of installing DE on their computers and taking it for a spin, then take a little more time to give us detailed feedback on their experiences, especially keeping track of trouble spots and asking any questions that the process raises for them. This will serve the whole TOG community: hopefully, when we send this to 800 plus Year 3 customers next week we won't get 600 emails with the same questions because WE know what we mean in our directions but they are unclear to others. Smiler

Here's the way it's going to work. If you want to be one of our ten Beta testers, you need to post below. Give us your place in the top ten, and the kind of computer you'll use for the Beta testing. Say something like "I'm number 1! and I have a PC (or a Mac)!"

We will take the first seven on PCs and the first three who register as Mac users AND who are on record as having ordered Year 3 Unit 3 (or the whole Year 3 plan).

We will contact you via the email address associated with your Groupee identity.

To recap:

We really only need ten willing participants, but we do need those ten to have some space in their schedules early next week who can devote some time to checking out TOG DE for us. Also, though I *know* it's tempting, if you are a tech whiz, try to restrain yourself. If we have people who are less than more comfortable with computereze, this Beta group will serve more people as it's intended to.

OK: got the rules straight? Go!
(And thanks in advance for volunteering! Big Grin )

Blessings,
Marcia

Am I #1? I would be a Mac user. I do have one question though...would it be cheating if I have to ask my husband questions on installing?

Susan: you're #2 [From Marcia; just for clarity, and thanks for offering! We'd prefer if you muddle through with us for OUR sakes and others who may have similar struggles... if that's ok.]

(Ahem) There are times, even when just downloading the "free" upgrades for things like Adobe that I get stuck and have to ask him for help...and yes, I'm usually looking right at a flashing "enter" button when I ask him what to do next.

So as far as "computer for dummies," I'm highly overqualified. Smiler

I'm #8 and a Mac user (that makes me the third Mac user).

I'm on the preorder list for the entire year 3 curriculum.
