I am looking at the weekly overview for Year 1 redesigned. It tells the student to learn about land forms, major bodies of water etc. Then we go to the Geography section of the student activity pages. This is where the confusion comes in. I am assuming we need a geography book of some sort. There are geography terms that I don't even know what they are. Such as cataracts and arroyo. Can someone recommend a good resource. Did I miss something?
Thanks in advance.

Faye,
I was confused over the same issue. I already own a book called The Ultimate Geography and Timeline Guide. It is by Maggie Hogan and Cindy Wiggers. It had that information in it. The terms are in the back and ready to be made into flash cards.

Faye,

We love using these geography flashcards. They have both a definition and picture of each landform:

Wow! These cards are great! Are there more for other weeks, or is this all one needs for Year 1? I couldn't find them on her sight. Thanks again, Kathy

Hi,
Thank You so much for posting the geography flash cards. I was just about to do a search for examples of each of the terms to print out for my girls 7 and 9. This saves a lot of time.
Blessings,
Theresa
