Hi,
Wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to "skim" Plato's Republic besides just reading the Cliff notes. My son has missed a lot of school due to illness.

I'm betting someone has specific sections to recommend, but if not: I'd consider first reading the cliff notes and then picking out one or two sections that sound like they are worth reading. The thing I always hear about re:Plato is the allegory of the cave, so I'd make sure to include that (not sure if it is even in The Republic though).

We skimmed. My daughter read the SAP intro notes and then her and I sat down and discussed my notes. I basically read my notes to her and explained them. She was able to have a good discussion with me. It worked well enough for us to finish the year doing this.
