I have the UILE of World History from our previous cycle through ancient topics using SOTW. While I"m all for not having to buy unnecessary items, I'm also for "ease of use" as I'll be teaching two kids for the first time "for real" (we do not have to report/show accountability to our state for the kindergarten year) and I've got an almost 4 year old who wants to be a part of everything.

If anyone has advice on whether or not to sell the book I have and purchase the recommended Ancient World spine, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks,

I also already had this, It wasn't that hard to add in the pages, I took the topic for each week, and looked in the index to find appropriate pages for that week. For Example if the week was

10. The Indus Valley, Hinduism, and Buddhism- I would look up the key words in the index or table of contents and have her read the corresponding pages for the subject!

I was hoping to do this also, but then I noticed that the planned assignments were longer than possible. So, I ordered the Ancient World. Ancient World has as many pages as the entire World History, so I don't think the World History volume goes into as much depth. For example, World History has only about 14 pages for Greece, but Ancient History has over 100.

Thank you guys for this post and answers. I was about to ask the exact same question. I guess I will order the Ancient World volume. But, I will probably keep them both. My kids love those books! I am so glad we have this forum!
Blessings,
Shelley
