Hi!

I've been going through the reading assignment charts for Year 1 Redesigned Unit 1 (2nd printing) in preparation for the fall. I've also pulled up a booklist using the power search feature at the Bookshelf. I've noted that Great Civilizations of the East is in the reading assignment charts for weeks 5-6 but not on the list the Bookshelf generated for me. It seems this book is out of print, however I didn't find a replacement assignment listed in the Book Updates section of the Year 1 Loom on-line. Has anyone discovered what the replacement is?

Try going to The Bookshelf, click on Book Updates Index and there are 4 titles listed that replace Great Civilizations.

Thanks Mindy, I just found that myself! I'm puzzled though since I have the 2nd printing and that is listed under 1st printing updates. I thought that all revisons to the first printing would be included in the 2nd printing that I just bought and received. Guess not, I'll be looking through my units and looks like I've got some printing to do to get my new Redesigned up to speed.

That one would likely be confusing because Great Civs went out of print after we did the 2nd printing of unit 1, but before we did the 2nd printing of the other units. So, majority ruled and we listed it under first printing.

Thanks so much for information, Dana. I appreciate it. So does that mean I won't need to check through the other units? Are they up-to-date? Also I know it would be duplicate information, but others who have the 2nd printing might just do what I did and ONLY look at the 2nd printing book update info, so they might want to consider putting that info there as well? (or at least a note to also check below in the 1st printing info) Just a suggestion.

Yes, it is up-to-date. I'd go ahead and check through anything that is labeled for unit 1. And, thanks for the suggestion! I think we should be able to accommodate that fairly easily.
