Hi,
I was wondering if it is necessary to do the history in depth selections with a LG or UG student? Does the core history reading cover this material? Just wondering, so I can get an idea of what books we may need. Thank you so much for any help you can give me.

My dd is UG, and I usually play it by ear when it comes to in-depth reading. For instance, if I can't get the core reading from the library, or if the core reading assignment is fairly small, I'll assign her the in-depth reading. Otherwise, if we've got a lot of other stuff going on, we skip it.

Thank you, Robin! This really helps me out and makes me remember that I don't have to do it all.
Many thanks,

Julie

Julie,

There are many options in using Tapestry of Grace. My family likes literature based studies so we often prefer the History in Depth books over the History Core books. The History Core books for Year 1 are frequently Usborne Internet Linked books with snatches of text and lots of pictures. We prefer lots of text and have found many great books in the History in Depth or alternate book choices that suited our family better. We have been able to get most of the books through the library. Customize TOG to suit your family.
