Okay..me again. I am sorry for all the posts. I have purchased Year 1 Redesign, Units 1 and 2. I will briefly explain about my "writing" situation. I do not do well teaching in the area of LA. I do not feel comfortable teaching "Writing" at all or trying to grade their work. I really need a lot of hand holding in this area w/ my 7th and 8th grade daughters, who have had NO formal "writing" taught. Would I do okay w/ WA or would I do better to have something that the girls could do more on their own?

I have a new baby coming in Feb., which will be my 7th so I won't have a lot of time to try and "figure things out".

Did you know that Tapestry has partnered with Write at Home? Your dds could submit their Tapestry work to the tutor at Write at Home for feedback. Here is the link to more information:

You would still need WA to "teach" the assignments, but the Tapestry Tutor would give feedback and evaluation.

I've taught writing using TOG for two years now, and my dc have made a lot of progress. I plan to use the Tapestry Tutor next year for my rhetoric dss, just to make sure I'm on the right track.
