My daughter has been at the dialectic level for all three years that we have done Tapestry and is finishing 9th grade. Every time I look over at the Rhetoric level, I get spooked. It looks gnarly to me! I would love some encouragement from those that have "crossed this bridge". Thanks! Suzie

Hi Suzie,
I think the main thing to remember is that you still don't have to do it all. Smiler Consider what subjects your student has to take to graduate from high school first. Then, fill in those holes with Tapestry subjects.

And, within each of those subjects, you still don't have to do it all. On the Loom, we have ideas for shortening rhetoric Literature, and you can always consolidate weeks or topics in History.

Hope this helps some...

like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.
I will proclaim the name of the Lord.
Oh, praise the greatness of our God!"

Thank you for the encouragement! Smiler
Dana-you bring up an interesting thought in looking into what we need to have to graduate our daughter from high school. We are in the military serving overseas. Do I go by what my state of residence requires? (Alaska)
I appreciate the freedom to pick and choose in Tapestry but I struggle with the thought that maybe we aren't doing enough - i.e. is the picking and choosing we do appropriate? How do you know when enough is enough!?
