I own 2 yrs of Classic TOG: yr.1 and yr.3.

I am planning to go "Redesign" for yr.2 and 4.

I already own many of the books we will use in highschool for these Classic years, so I don't really want to switch to Redesign for those years.

Do you think this would work ok- mostly I am worried about highschool.

There's absolutely no reason that this won't work wonderfully! We've worked through classic years 3 and 4 (or will finish yr 4 in late spring). Personally, I think they are superb. The biggest challenge I will have when we hit those years again will be book availability for the levels we haven't yet done. You have that problem solved already!

Two items they addressed in the redesign process were to check the amount of reading assigned and that the answers to the questions posed in the student activity pages are in the readings. If you are careful not to over-assign each week and plan on asking your older children to track down any information not included in their reading, you'll be all set!
