We are currently using year one. We are working through the Greek plays. I was reading through some of the Year Two Loom documents and I stumbled upon the Drama Analysis document. Nicely done! I was going to print it to read it - hate reading from the screen - but I noticed that it hasn't been updated since 1-28. Do you have a lot more updating to do on that document? Should I resist printing it? Smiler

Thanks!
Janice

Hi Janice! That document isn't going to be updated much more between now and when we release the Y2 Loom (sometime later this spring; we haven't set a date yet), so I would say "go for it!" However, I'd recommend that you print out only Parts I-VII, and leave the appendices online for reference as needed. Appendices are a LOT of pages to print. Also, please be aware that this tool was developed to go with Y2 plays, not Y1 plays---this doesn't affect Parts I-V and VII, but the actual drama analysis outline in Part VI will have many terms that don't apply to Y1 plays, and will lack some that do. Also, the class plans for the Greek plays in Y1 were not written to go with Drama Analysis, so you will also find some discrepancies there.

With these caveats in mind, please, print, read, and enjoy!

Thanks. And yes, I understand that I'm trying to cram a square peg into a round hole... but I'm trying to help my ds see the bigger picture here. He's reading the plays and making ALL kinds of comments, jokes, etc - so I think he's "getting" it. But I want to move him in the direction of always looking forward - always looking back - so that his tent pegs broaden.... tough to do with a 14 year old boy - I know. But you can't blame a momma for trying!

Peace,
Janice

Please direct me to where I can find the Drama Analysis - I'm drawing a 'blank'! We are in Yr2 Redesigned and I have both the Loom CD and Writing Aids but can't find it on those. (In the past, I printed out Poetry Analysis from the Loom and remember reading the Drama analysis in Yr1, but I can't even find that on there now!)
Please help me get straightened out! ha

Hi! Do you have 1st printing or 2nd printing of Y2? Knowing that will tell me where to direct you. :-)
