I'm in the process of purchasing books. Just in case anybody else is, too, I am very pleasantly surprised to find out that Bookshelf Central often BEATS Amazon prices! Sometimes it's by a few cents, but sometimes it's by many dollars!

I am prejudiced into thinking that Amazon is cheaper and a small bookseller like BC would have to be more expensive. But, I'm very wrong.

We recently received our box of yr 4 unit 1 books from BC. Animal Farm has already been read, and I am really enjoying the short stories in the American Realism reader - the Twain stories are hilarious!

I just ordered some books to finish up our "year" and I have to say that I was very pleased with the service I received, the prices were very competitive, and the package arrived quickly!!

I ordered Year 3 Units 3 & 4 books this past spring right after BC opened. I actually was going to the site daily to add the new books they had received from publishers to my cart as they built inventory. I got great customer service, too, with Dana and ?David? calling me several times to double check my order, even alerting me to a double order of a book I didn't realize I had made. I got the books very quickly, in great condition. I had ordered all my books from BC really for the sole purpose of supporting them as they got up and running. But, I must admit, I had a big huge twist in my stomach since I assumed I was spending more than if I ordered elsewhere. I didn't even check for price comparisons until now, as I need to add to our Year 1 library. Now I'm happy that I not only supported them, but also got good prices!!!
