I'm about to order my Y4U1 (yay!) and have a couple of questions that I wanted to have clarified before I close the order.

First, I noticed that the Tab Set is now only white (or at least that's all I saw). Has it been "neutralized" so that it will go with any year plan? I kind of liked my colors for the first three years and would buy a blue tab set if it were available.

Second, my aging brain can't remember when Pop Quiz was first introduced. I bought it from the start, but it seems like maybe it was originally begun in the middle of a year plan, and I'm pretty sure I didn't go back and purchase any units that we had already done. I understand that it is now definitely available for Years 1 - 3, but because I'm too lazy to go round up all of my Pop Quiz CDs (assuming that I could even find them....), I thought I'd clarify the initial production timeline. Does that make sense? An even better solution would be to know exactly what I've ever purchased from Lampstand Press in the past - but I seem to remember that those records are not available since things have been updated/upgraded.

Thanks for any help with this.

Marcie (who needs to update her signature line and add the new baby)

Marcie,

This is from memory, but I think Pop Quiz was first introduced in Year 1 Unit 3. They have filled in the first two units of Y1 now, but Scott recorded Unit 3 first. I remember it well, because I LOVE POP QUIZ!

I know nothing about tabs Smiler

Hi Marcie!
Just wanted to say howdy! I am going to order Yr4 Unit 1 soon, also and all those lovely books! I am so proud of all of us for finishing Yr 3 in only 36 weeks! Woo Hoo! The guys were troopers and did the Unit 3 and Unit 4 tests on Wednesday and Thursday, and we finished off our year with the cumm exam (modified by me, since they had written so many essays in just two days) on Friday. I had better not get any grief from anybody (at our umbrella school) about honors credit for history!!!
Wish we could see you, but I am glad we are all just as close as a computer keyboard and camera (sort of, at least)! Hugs to the family!
Blessings
April (who would also like a blue tab set for that whole color coordinated look!)

Eia - I think you're right. That's what I was thinking too - started with Y1U3. OK, so that means I still don't have Y1, Units 1 & 2. I was trying to decide if I should just take advantage of the 50% off sale and buy Year 1, then give the last two units to somebody else. I think that's what I'll do, since it would cost about the same to buy those first two units individually.

April - HI to you too! I am so proud of you for pushing your boys to do those exams and papers. Each time my two have started to complain these last few weeks, I've reminded them of what your boys are tackling and they tend to pipe down. Roll Eyes I never personally thanked you for the package - you should've kept the hat! It could have been a souvenir from your trip. And everyone was thrilled to get the Foosball (sp?) balls. They've been playing a lot more often.

Just a little personal chit chat from one TOG friend to another!

So, what about the blue tabs? Anybody know if they are coming back, or a place to order them if not?

We have indeed ordered only white tabs for the time being, so that they will go with any unit sold. Many, many customers buy tabs for their students' notebooks, and white makes more sense for them, because they can then reuse them year after year. So, we know that there will always be a market for neutral tabs. It is possible that, when we finish Year 4, we'll do a big pre-order for blue colored tabs if there's enough general interest. Our problem is that, with Year 4 being digital only, we just don't know how many people would want the blue tabs (because they're having the whole thing printed and continuing to work from binders) and how many will just want them for more neutral teacher and student notebooks.

Blessings,
Marcia

Hello Marcia,
I totally agree that white makes the most sense from a business decision - they work with any year and any unit. Please don't lose any sleep over finding a way to get blue tabs for us - just having tabs for weeks 1 through 36 is wonderful enough! Thanks for looking out for us!
Blessings,
April (looking forward to year 4 and tomorrow's webinar!)
