I'm curious to know if there will be a DE of Year 4 Redesigned offered in the coming months or will there be a Year 4 Redesigned at all?

In the spirit of James 4, and given the uncertain economy, though we hope and expect to offer Year 4, we must be more sure than we are now of our finances before we make promises.

Our intent right now is to offer Year 4 in DE only for pre-sale, starting in early March.

Now that Year 4 Redesigned is in process, do you anticipate offering a print copy of it after the rewrite/DE copy is done?

Our current plan is to offer DE/Print packages like unto those that are now listed for Year 3. With this plan, you'd get the DE AND the print copy within weeks of it being released throughout the school year, barring acts of God.

We are on track to offer Unit 1 in the first week of June. We are planning to release units for sale as we write them, rather than taking any money for any units that are not finished, so that we can be sure to perform what we promise.

I'm a little confused, still.
On the page for the bookstore, it says,that the the Units will be available in DE format at $40 per unit(it doesn't mention print). If you're saying the print IS available, is that an additional cost and how much?

Year 4 is not for sale yet. I believe once unit 1 is complete and listed for sale the print option price will be listed as well.

I just called into (TOG) this week for clarification w/Redesign Y4 with doing budget & curriculum planning.

I was told:
DE - $40 per unit as released
*If you want print, it would be an additional cost of $30......
Total $70 per unit

There would be no offer for just print.
Gulp!

Love the DE & tech, but as I have gotten a bit older(LOL!)...the eyes have not been forgiving of time spent reading on the computer.

But - I LOVE TOG! I LOVE ALL of the staff. My purse is just not cooperating.

What to do? What to do? ;-D

A thought, Lisa... maybe just print out the Teacher's Notes each week? Then you'd be able to read all the World Book articles in print & have the class plans (or skip printing the class plans, if you don't have R level kids), and it wouldn't be anything like as much cost as printing the whole weekplan each week.

God bless you for your wonderful attitude! You know we wish with all our hearts that we could offer everything for everybody, but we're so grateful that you join us in trusting God. Surely the lines He has chosen for us have fallen in pleasant places (even when we can't quite see how that might be)!

Just bought Unit 1 DE. Here we go!

I just went to the store and could not get an option to purchase yet. How did you purchase U1?

Apparently, there are some bugs to work out yet. I downloaded it, but couldn't access it. I spent a good bit of time online with Ray getting everything sorted out. He said there were some problems, including the lack of a download button. He got me all fixed up, but maybe they had to shut things down to work out the bugs.
