Is there a way to copy the CDs (MapAids, Reproducibles, WriteAids) that I own to my own computer? I realize that I could open each file and save each one -- but I was hoping to copy the interface as well so I can find things easily. When I'm prepping for the next week, I'm juggling all 3 CDs back and forth and thought it would be nice to have them on the hard drive so I could have all 3 open at once.
Thanks and Blessings! Monica "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 |

Monica,
You can use this procedure to copy any of the enhancement CDs over to your own computer (with the exception of the Pop Quiz CDs.) This is just one way to get it done on the PC. Create a directory (or folder) on your local hard drive with the name of the disk you want to copy. Put the disk in your CD or DVD drive and from another instance of My Computer, browse to the correct drive letter. (If you have auto play enabled, you might have to close the interface page that opens in your browser.) Right mouse click on the drive letter and select Explore to show the entire contents of the disk. On your browser menu, choose Edit, then Select all (CRTL + A), then choose Edit, Copy. Move your mouse to the first instance of My Computer where the new folder is and right mouse click on the folder or in the empty space, then choose Paste. Depending on your operating system you may be able to choose Edit, then Copy to folder and drill down to the correct location and select the Copy button. All the files will be put in the folder you choose. Now you may want to put a short cut to this file on your desk top or bookmark it in your browser. Browse to the file folder location your created and find the interface.htm file. Right mouse click on the file name and choose Create shortcut. This will create a short cut that you can drag to your desktop. Since this file is an htm file that will open in your web browser when you click on it, you can now click on the shortcut, which will open your browser so you can bookmark this link in your browser. Now the link to the file is in two locations for your convenience. I hope this helps. educaring |

I'm so glad you asked this question!! It will be so nice to have that all on my computer, but I didn't want to have to do it individually. It never even occured to me that you could do it all! :-)

Just be sure to create a directory for each distinct CD.
If you are intending to be around for awhile TOG ---Year 1 -------MapAids -------WritingAids -------etc.. ---Year 2 -------MapAids -------WritingAids educaring |
