I am considering using the Classic version of Years 4 and 1 (already own Redesign 2 and 3 in print). I would like to know what resources the Classic versions use that I may already have. I would also like to compare some of the other areas that are not usually discussed (worldview,philosophy, etc). Can I still view these online? Is it possible to see the alternate resources as well? I'm asking because I already own some of them (BJU and Spielvogel) and I really like them.

How does the literature portion compare? I can see that Redesign is awesome in Rhetoric lit. What's it like in Classic?

If you already own Redesigned 2 and 3, I would TRULY not recommend that you go to Classic for Year 4, especially not for Rhetoric, because most of our primary resources are truly hard to find. This was a major reason why we took the time and trouble to redesign the curriculum but there's a lot more to it. Year 4 will be so much more current; it was last updated in 2001! We are adding analysis of the War on Terror, the Second Iraq War, and the rest of the Bush years to the curriculum.

If printed copies are your preference, remember that you can still have JUST AS MUCH printed AND the benefits of digital searching and printing every page of the curriculum that gets lost and/or damaged or used up by ordering a DE/Print package for Year 4. Since it's only available by the unit anyways, and at a discount, why not try a unit of DE/Print and see how you like it? You really have nothing to lose.

To give you a direct answer to your question, there are no samples up online; I don't think there ever were. Sorry!
