I have used Y2 Classic with my upper grammar daughter for 2 years. We are just finishing up unit4 of Y2 Classic. We school year-round, so I would like to jump right into Y3 in another month or so but will then miss out on purchasing the redesign. I'm trying to decide whether to take a break from history until Y3 Redesign comes out or just continue on as planned and purchase the Classic. Is there a lot of new and better stuff we will miss out on if we purchase the Classic? I have 3 younger children who will all cycle through TOG eventually and I was so hoping to have the redesign instead of purchasing Classic now and having to repurchase TOG later to get the redesign. Does that make since? Any suggestions?

Hi Janelle,
If it were me, I would purchase the redesigned year 3 and just take a break from directed history studies while waiting for unit 1 to arrive. You could take the time to read additional books about the Revolution etc just for fun - there are so many fun books available that I don't think you would have any trouble finding stuff to do! Having used redesigned, I really do think it is worth waiting for.
