Hi,
This is our 5th year with TOG. My R level son just started chemo therapy. Any moms out there with some experience regarding "chemo brain"? Thanks, Lori |

Hi,
First of all I want to tell you how sorry I am that you are having to face the world of chemo and I am assuming, cancer. I was diagnosed with cancer almost 5 years ago. I underwent chemo, radiation, and several surgeries. I will be praying for you and for healing for your son. I will pray that you will feel God's loving arms around you and your family right now. As for Chemo brain, it is hard to think clearly at times with chemo. I would forget things, and had to write everything down so that I would remember it later. I was also very tired 2-3 days after chemo for a day or so. Please don't hesitate to write to me about any questions you have. I would be happy to be help in any way. Praying for you, Tisha jimntisha@cox.net |

I had cancer last year. I had a similar experience, in that I couldn't remember anything for very long without writing it down. This started with my surgery (the anestesia), and lasted through radiation, interferon, and a few months into my chemo until my body adjusted. I felt very "ditzy," and basically "not all there" or "out of it." I pretty much felt dazed like I was dreaming everything. I couldn't concentrate enough to school the kids. Luckily, I recovered very quickly. God is so faithful!
I too will pray for your son and your family as he goes through this time. ~Brooke |
