Ladies,
These days it seems increasingly difficult to find Titus 2 women! My goodness, most of the ones I know are on this forum! The church we attend seems to be so full of new families with not many older people that I find myself, in my early 40's, trying to be a Titus 2 woman to so many of these young moms who are babes in the faith. But I've never been fortunate enough to be truly discipled by an older woman when it comes to living like the "holy women of former times." I wanted to be helpful and obedient to God's word, but I didn't know how.

At our state's homeschool convention this past spring, I came across a book called "Becoming a Titus 2 Woman" by Martha Peace. Mrs. Peace is very conservative Biblically, and the book is easy to read--while yet being very challenging. I felt almost as if I were sitting down and talking with the author as she discipled me. I know what characteristics I need to work on and also how to convey some of these ideas to others. Being a Titus 2 woman takes a lot of courage! I just hope that the Lord will use me in this way!

By the way, Mrs. Peace has also written a book called "The Excellent Wife," although I've not read it. That's on my wish list!

God has been putting it on my heart to post this information for nearly a week (quick obedience is one of those areas I still need work on ) so hopefully someone will find it helpful.

Another excellent resource is Feminine Appeal by Carolyn Mahaney. It's based off of Titus 2 as well.

I also have Martha Peace's books. While I have yet to read "Becoming a Titus 2 Woman," I have read "The Excellent Wife." It is a very challenging book. It stretched and grew me.
