Does anyone have a good source for consumer math to be studied by a senior (12th gr)? She's already finished Algebra I & II and geometry. She is not interested in more higher math but wants to brush up on practical, everyday math that will be used in real life. Thanks for your reply.
Have a BLESSED day,
Teresa

You might want to check out Math-U-See's Stewardship study. It's very practical and excellent. Check out the contents to see if it has the kinds of things she needs. It has a wide range of topics, like measuring for wallpaper or paint, understanding paycheck stubs, etc. HTH,

Thank you for your reply. I did just check that curriculum online and it looks like it just might 'fit the bill'.
Have a blessed day,

Tagging onto this thread with a recommendation for a book I saw on Amazon today, http://www.amazon.com/Everyday...cm_cr_pr_product_top.

Looks great, but (caveat) I don't yet have my copy.

My oldest 2 are working through this and it is very good. It isn't hard math, but they are definitely seeing how to use math in everyday life in practical and fun ways. Mr. Demme is coming from a very biblical worldview and perspective. I have them do 2 parts of the lesson a day and then do the test on the 3rd day. Mr. Demme is enjoyable to watch on the DVD. I personally think this program is well worth the money.

Blessings to you and your family.
