My school year is very busy, so I like to get all of my literature reading done during the summer. Last year I used the Scope and Sequence to get my Year 3 literature reading done before the school year, and it was the only thing that kept me sane.

So far, I have finished all of the reading for Unit 1 of Year 4 and would like to use my summer free time to read the rest of the novels.

Is there a Scope and Sequence for Year 4? If so, where do I find it? If not, is there any way I can learn approximately which novels we will read, so I can read them now, while I have the chance?

Hi! For Unit 2 you will want to read "The Great Gatsby," "The Pearl," "The Glass Menagerie," "The Old Man and the Sea," and "The Chosen." I don't have any firm idea of what we will be doing for Units 3 and 4, but likely options include "The Plague," "To Kill A Mockingbird," and "The Hobbit," as well as the play "Waiting for Godot."
