My oldest is beginning 9th grade this year. Because of his maturity level, I think it best to continue him in dialectic level readings, but how does that work out with counting high school credits - specifically English which my state requires 4 full credits. Can he do dialectic work and still receive some amount of a credit?

Yes, you may wish to cherry pick a couple of R level resources, but at least in Year One, my thought was that the level was way higher than high school much more com probable to a semester of college literature.
