How many evaluate this level? I always look at the evals, and notice that we don't cover all the material and are working on EXPOSURE at this point. How do you all work it schedulewise to cover the material and then evaluate it????

Hi Pam,
A lot of folks use the grammar-level evaluations as worksheets, unless it's an oral quiz. Regardless of that though, it's quite likely they'll need lots of prompting, so don't feel a bit bad if that's the case. It takes years to learn good study habits, and at this level, you are mostly wanting to see what they remembered (as opposed to seeing what they *studied*). Knowing what they remembered helps for planning in the future: you'll know if you should do more hands-on, more read-alouds, more oral questioning during the week, etc.

We did evaluations on Fridays.

Thank you. I admit, I am finding it humbling to see all that they either missed, or we didn't over, even though I realize that I don't need to do it all - but use it as a buffet style approach.
