YIKES...my 10ds totally dislikes this book! He doesn't like the small print...gets lost in all the details...and was about near tears. He's a great reader and doesn't shrink back from reading (ever!). What to do?

I've swapped it out with my 10 yo, but he is not yet reading all his work. So I let him read other books that I would normally read to him (the Lewis and Clark book might work).

BUT if your child is reading everything, then just give him something else to read. I always have something for children to read.

If you like read it outloud to him, It is a kind of dull book, but doing ten pages a day is easily doable.

Thanks! It helped 'hearing' from another mom about swapping books.
