Exactly what terms are the students supposed to make flashcards for in week 1?? Surely not everything!! I see only 2 terms in week 2. So for a beginning student, do they make any cards this week?

Hi Christine! For Week 1 your student is supposed to copy the Basic Terms List (sixteen terms) at the beginning of Appendix B in Poetics on the Loom (check around page 147). This is the most he will ever have to do in one week: we held ourselves pretty rigorously down to 12 terms for most week plans in Units 1-2 and as the year progresses there are fewer and fewer terms for him to learn (several weeks in Units 3 and 4 have no new terms at all).

Thanks. Somehow when I was scanning I did not see the beginning list or I thought it was the entire thing!! See, this is what worries me about DE. I really need it in front of me to switch back and forth. I'm waiting until we get more ink to print out poetics and frameworks.. Sigh... I don't know what to do about year 4.
