I posted this question yesterday in the Year 3 Writing forum but didn't get a response, so I thought I'd post it again here:

My dss have just about finished their literary comparison papers. They are each comparing two poems which are in the Shorter Works Anthology. How do we cite these? As a work from an anthology or a part of an online book? Or something else? At any rate, we need to know information like the editor, place of publication, publisher, and date of publication.

Hi Susan! I'm sorry I didn't respond earlier---I've been out of town at a wedding since Thursday. :-/ The answer is that the Shorter Works Anthology is something Lampstand Press has put together for you, so I'm going to have to just make up the citation on the spot here...

Nineteenth Century Literature: Selected Shorter Works Anthology, edited by Christy Somerville et al. (Lampstand Press, 2009).

The above is for a bibliography. In-text citation or footnotes it would be a bit different. Let me know if you want those too!
