I'm not sure where to post this question? The word "guachos" is listed in the wk 8 LG vocab list on the Weekly Overview pages. My older kids have said that their readings spelled it "gauchos". Is it a typo, or can it be spelled either way?
Thanks so much!

The word is spelled "gauchos"; "guachos" is incorrect. The "au" sound is pronounced like the "ow" of "cow," and that's the correct pronunciation. The "ua" would sound like "wah" instead (gwahchos).

This is a typo, along with the times in week 8 that the name of the country Chile is spelled Chili. Smiler

My bachelor's degree is in Spanish.... Smiler

Thanks Beth! We thought that was it, but not having a Spanish background, didn't know for sure. I didn't even catch the "Chili"!
