Hi everyone
There is a young couple who is pastoring in Sibiu, Romania. They were involved in a terrible car accident on July 14th. The wife, Monica, and their 3 year old son, Eric are home from the hospital. The pastor, Ionutz, is in an induced coma - he has a hole in his liver and internal bleeding. Finances are also an issue because the medical system is quite different there - the 'type' of internal bleeding he has may not be covered by the insurance - go figure.
Please pray for a miracle, and for God's wisdom and grace in the hands of the doctors; and for God to continually give strength to his wife through all of this.
In Christ
Norma

Hi everyone,
Just a brief update for those of you who are praying for this family.
Pastor Ionutz has surprised the doctors by merely surviving his injuries - he is still heavily sedated because they fear the stress on his body will cause brain damage. He did squint when asked if he could hear someone that was visiting him (they asked twice, to be sure it was not a fluke). Please continue to pray as he is definitely not out of the woods yet, but has exceeded the doctors' expectations of survival... all the glory goes to God Red Face)
thanks
Norma

Hello everyone,
This is an update for those of you who have been praying for this family (thank you Smiler ) I'm just pasting in the message I received this morning (I did not know if I could post the picture that was included so I didn't)...

Greetings everyone. Sorry it's been so long since I told you about
Pastor Ionutz. I was there a few weeks ago and visited him in the
hospital. When I took this picture he was sleeping deeply and on lots
of pain medication because he had just finished surgery to repair his
broken leg. From what I understand, he is breathing on his own now
but the have the tube in his neck as a precaution in case he stopped
breathing. I was really amazed to see that he was much skinnier than
before, but overall better than I expected. While I was standing
there next to his bed, he did open his eyes for a moment and looked
right at me. He looked confused and drowsy but not in pain. Then he
shut his eyes again and fell asleep. Monica and Eric are doing well.
They are currently surrounded by friends and family in the Bucharest
church while the church in Brasov has sent another couple in to be
the pastor of the church in Sibiu (where Ionutz was before).

The latest news is that he had to go into surgery AGAIN for an
infection that had developed near his catheter. They had to install a
tube directly into his bladder instead. This whole thing made him a
bit weaker and in a more difficult situation. The longer he stays in
this current hospital, the longer he has to wait to begin the
physical and mental therapy that we are hoping will bring him back to
a level of normalcy.

In response to this latest news, all the churches here including in
Romania and our church in Bulgaria decided to start fasting and
praying every Friday for his complete recovery. I ask you to continue
to pray for this man and his precious family. Continue to pray and
don't lose heart. Please fast for healing. Do whatever you can. On
behalf of his family and church, we do thank you so much.

In faith,

Adam Dragoon
Ruse, Bulgaria
