I would like to ask for your prayers for my mother, who until Saturday lived happily along the banks of the Little Red River in Arkansas. Praise God she is safe, but she had to be evacuated by boat and was unable to take her animals (I cannot even bear to think about that...). The river was supposed to crest today. If that is true, she should be able to get to her house in a week or so to see if anything is salvageable - or if there is even a house to go back to. I live in CA, so I will most likely need to fly back to help with the cleanup and to help mom figure out what to do next. She feels too old to start over - she is utterly in shock and prone to depression. Again, I thank you all for your prayers not only for my mom, but for all those affected by the flooding in the midwest. Thank you so much.

My heart goes out to her. I'll be praying.

Thank you for your prayers! I really appreciate it. One of Mom's neighbors is going to try to boat in to his house today, and he will see if he can find and feed her dogs. As of Wed., the river was down about a foot and a half. Unfortunately, more rain is on the way. Thankfully, God is in control of all this!
