The Rhetoric history assignment for wk 1 is to read ch.2-3 in Jim Callan's book. The assignment for wk 2 is ch. 3-4. In looking at the questions, ch. 3 deals w/ Roosevelt's second term and seems to fit wk. 2 better. Should it be removed from the first week, or is it given twice as a review?

Summer: Ch. 1
W 1--Ch. 2
W 2--Ch. 3
W 3--p. 61-98

OK-I'm still confused w/this because the Rhetoric History questions for wk. 2 ask them about Taft's presidency, which is covered in ch. 4. So, is it possible that wk. 2 should be to read ch. 3-4 and week 3 to read 77-98??

Teddy's presidency is split by administration between the first two weeks; Taft is also in Week 2. Then in Week 3, it's Wilson's first administration, but not past the outbreak of war. So... looking at this further...and I don't know how this has gotten us so confused, you are perfectly correct. Try THIS:

Summer: Chapter 1
Week 1: Chapter 2, Teddy's first term
Week 2: Chapters 3-4, Teddy's second term and Taft.
Week 3: p. 77-98
