I was unable to cover debate with my 10th grade student last semester and was hoping to do it this semester. We are skipping the Biography assignment.

Only trouble is I did not realize the assignment calls for a debate "team"! It's just her and I. Any suggestions??

This is a huge first for me. Although I can argue with the best of them (LOL) I am clueless about doing it formally.

Hi Lisa,
We did it one on one! My student and I each took a side. We first watched the HSLDA video about debate and then adapted it slightly for just the two of us. (It's VHS and I'm done with it if you'd like to buy it used from me.)

We spent the suggested number of weeks on it, and in the end, "presented" it in front of the rest of the family.

Honestly, those were some great weeks that my boys still talk about!
