I'll just post this here - but not sure if I'll get an answer. . . .

My oldest has just written a piece of historical fiction, called, "When All Falls Down". Basically, it's the story of Jericho, told from the perspective of Rahab's neice. She researched, and researched some more, and I am really impressed with the quality of what she has produced. It would be a great UG read for Year 1! (In my not-so-humble opinion!)

I think I may self-publish it at Staples, or something, like that, to have in my TOG library.

Here's the question: are there any literary journals where she could submit this? Is Andrew Pudewa still compiling excellent writing? What options does she have?

I'd even love to submit it for Marcia to read. . .like she doesn't have a thousand things on her plate right now Wink

Wondering out loud -

You can send it to Brittainy@tapestryofgrace.com, and she will review it. She may want to use it for one of our writing samples here. We also have gallery pages, one for each year-plan, on which we post student writing. Smiler

Thanks, Marcia! I appreciate your taking time to answer.

This started out as the "Short Story" assignment, but quickly morphed into the "Historical Fiction" assignment! She's inherited "someone's" perfectionist tendencies. . . . . Wink

I was up late last night, reading it - because I wanted to find out what happened! She has a couple of minor typos to deal with, and a reformat issue, then we'll send it along.

Thanks!
