Is there a master book list anywhere on the website or in the curriculum? I am specifically looking for Year 2. It would be helpful to have a book list so you can look through and see what books you have, what books you need and which ones are used longer (maybe purchase those) and which are only used a little (library). It's sort of a pain to have to look at each reading assignment page to figure out which books to get. Thanks in advance for any info on this!

What levels are you looking for? I made a list that tells when all of the books for year 2 are used for upper and lower grammar. I could e-mail you a copy if you wanted.

Hi,

You can search by year plan (or by unit or by level or by subject) on Bookshelf Central and print a custom list of primary resources. Going through the Loom for your year plan, you can access a tidy list of alternate resources. Both are very easy ways to print out master lists. We are not allowed to share book lists with one and another due to copyright infringement.

Blessings,

May I have a copy too please? I am just starting out Year 2 this fall. Do you have a copy of Year 1?

I am sorry to point out that, "we are not allowed to share book lists with one and another due to copyright infringement", as another pointed out in the post above yours. Smiler

Sorry, I am confused now. Is it a copyright infringement to type your own list and share it with someone else who also owns the same year of Tapestry of Grace? In other words, my friend and I have each purchased TOG Year 2. Can I give her the chart I have made up showing which books are available at the library? Or is this a copyright infringement? Thanks!

Hi,
I'm really not sure about the copyright in this regard. However, anyone can get the whole resource list and print it themselves. The primary choices are available either through Lampstand Press (in chart form...sign in to the store and then click on "resources" in the right column) or Bookshelf Central (not in chart form, but has pictures of the books and a tad bit different info).

Once you actually purchase the Year-Plan, the alternates books are on the Loom under "book lists."

Hope this helps...

To clarify on copyrights issue:

Our booklist is copyrighted. It takes hours of work and much expense to find, choose, balance, proof, and publish this list, so it is Lampstand Press' exclusive property.

We do permit two moms who have the volumes to share the work and fruit of collaborative efforts, but in this digital world, we ask that you be scrupulous to ONLY share this kind of copying of our book list with someone who has purchased the year-plan you list books for.

We do publish resource lists on our Lampstand Store that are printable and sortable. They are for your use. Some of the information in the list is public, and available to all who make an account at our store (which is free and has no obligation). In the near future, we are adding features that will check to see if you bought a given unit or year-plan and provide additional columns to you if you did, such as more detailed descriptions and precise weeks that a book is to be used within Tapestry. Because these lists exist, we hope there's very little need for busy moms to type our lists for themselves. Sharing non-privileged information from these lists is permitted.

Blessings,
Marcia

Thanks so much for the clarification. I have purchased TOG Year 2 and haven't received it yet, so I wanted to get a jump start. I found it difficult to compile a list on your site because of all the recent changes (I cannot find the "planning list" that I used to have). Anyway, I made up my own chart so that I knew which books were available at our local library and which books I needed to purchase. Thanks so much for all your help!

If you create a new account at our new store, you will gain several advantages. First, everything you purchase is listed for you permanently. Second, you will receive our newsletter reliably (unless you opt out) and it only comes once a month, so no worries about us filling your inbox with ads your don't want. Given the nature of our fast-developing business, our newsletter really has NEWS! Third, you'll be able to use our resource lists. I'd encourage you to take two minutes and sign up for a free account at our new store. We think (and hope) that you won't have to update this account for years to come.

Blessings,
Marcia

Thanks so much for all your hard work and dedication. I did sign up at the store, I just couldn't find a way to "plan" like there was before. The resource list is very helpful. Thanks. It is exciting to see all the things that are being done at TOG and I cannot wait to begin with my children!

When accessing master resource excel list for year 4, only multi-unit-type resources are coming up.
I know books are also listed on Bookshelf, but I LOVE the excel spreadsheet.
Are there plans to add the remainder of the resources to the excel master sheet?
Thanks!

I too am looking for Year 4, Unit 1 Dialectic and Rhetoric. I DID have to type this into a spread sheet myself, because there's only a partial listing here, and at least two different listings at Bookshelf Central--very confusing and time-consuming. I feel I will also have to go through the curriculum itself to make double-sure I didn't miss anything else (as I did in Year 3, Unit 4). It would be VERY helpful if these lists were indeed available as quoted above.

Here's another vote for the master list on a spreadsheet. I was hoping to find it with the purchased Year 4 Unit 1, but no such luck. I'm thinking I'll have to take a day to go through the curriculum and make a master list that I can take to the library and use for ordering books. I noticed as well in the Resource List that it doesn't specify the actual weeks used...this is always a must for timing books just right with the library.

Is there any plan to make a master list on excel anytime soon? I have a baby due in 5 weeks and need to get this unit knocked out and ready to go before then, so that when we do start school in Aug/Sept. we can just start regardless of my sleep bank withdrawals. (And I can enjoy our bundle without thinking about "I've got to get the books for Unit 1!" in the back of my head!)

Ladies,
We are not going to be making an Excel spreadsheet, sorry. It was too hard for us to keep up with a static format in the past, and we had to discontinue the Excel spreadsheet altogether and rely on the Bookshelf one. Now that we have become two companies, it seems wise to have a digital Resource List on the Tapestry store. The benefit of the Resource List being on the Internet is that we can update and dovetail with Bookshelf Central, keeping it current. We can also key information to people who have bought products even though they are on the Internet. Descriptions, specific weeks used, advice on combining resources, etc., are privileged to those who have bought the plan through the new store. (Older purchases have this information on their Loom discs.) As the weeks go by, we plan to put up these details as we can in the next few weeks.

Bookshelf Central is a new company with new software that is seeking to serve you all to the best of our ability given our limited resources. Please pray that we can do it accurate as well! Smiler

Blessings,
