I usually design a new weekly assignment chart every year...after I download tons, pick and choose pieces and parts from each, and basically waste days and days of my life. If you use the charts on the Loom I would be interested in knowing how you implement them.

Hi Jackie,
After training them in how to do their own, I just print up a blank one. On Monday mornings, when my high school boys got up, there was a blank assignment chart on top of the Student Activity Pages and maps for the week. The books to read were in a milk crate against the wall. The Tapestry binder was on my desk so they could get it out. I put initials beside each boy's assignments.

When the kids were grammar level, I wrote in their assignments. I'd give the lower grammar kids a sticker to put in each cell when something was completed. Upper grammar kids would just put in a check mark.

For us, dialectic was in between. We started out doing the check mark but then we progressed into much more independence. This time was the training time in preparation for rhetoric work.

Hope this helps...

Oh, praise the greatness of our God!"

Dana,

We're starting Y2 this next week and I woke up anxious this morning about how on earth I was going to manage the nuts & bolts of teaching 4 levels at once (I have a High Schooler this year).

This posting has brought me so much peace. Thank you so much - I love how you organized your various levels.

You have helped me alot!
