Hello! This year, we are using MOH vol 1 (alone), and I just purchased TOG Year 2 for next year. In looking over the first few weeks, I see that we will miss a chunk of history between the two curriculums - about 400 years, I think. Should I go back and start with TOG Year 1, Unit 4, or just start with Year 2 and come back to it on the next rotation? My oldest is in 7th, so we would go through the whole thing once more in high school.

Year 2 is a full year in and of itself. Since you will have another chance to go through it, I would just start with Year 2 and not try to go back and pick up Year 1 Unit 4. If I remember correctly, the first week has some review in it. I would look over that and possibly have your student spend an extra week on review of Year 1. (I have only done the classic, but I am assuming they still have the review built in.

Thanks! I think I was getting a little carried away with the chronology. I will look over the first few weeks again; I looked at it once, but it's all kind of overwhelming when you're just starting something new. I think when I look at it again, it'll be clearer for me, and I can relax a little.
