Hi! I am looking forward to making a few new friends here in the forum. We are new to TOG and are starting mid-year. We plan to school year-round since we have such hot summers here, but will probably focus on the sciences during the summer. I just got my Y1U1 and I am looking forward to digging in. We were (kind of) using SonLight earlier in the year, but didn't see much connection among the subjects. My children are 6, 3 and 1. I have never really participated in bulletin boards before, so I hope I manage alright

We enjoy TOG yr round too. It's worked out well to take off in the spring and fall when the weather's nice. One year we made a Jesse tree for 5 weeks or so around Thanksgiving and Christmas. Making ornaments about key Bible stories fit well with yr 1.

I made the jump to TOG from SL and FIAR 2 1/2years ago with a 3yr, 5yr, and 7yrold because I saw how much help I was going to need to get my mind around a good picture of history. Yr 1 with little children was mostly bootcamp for me.
