After a lot of prayer for wisdom, the LORD has led our family here this year. My husband and I have 3 children, 14 (girl), 12 (boy), and 10 (girl). We have homeschooled from the beginning, having used Sonlight for most of those years.

I am feeling somewhat overwhelmed, yet excited to see what the Lord will teach us all this year. I look forward to making new friends here at TOG!

Hi Christina -
What year are you doing? We are in Y4 Redesign so will be finishing up our first cycle through. I love TOG, and I would say my dcs love TOG, although they have their moments (and if I am honest, so do I) of feeling overwhelmed and not so in love with it. It's a tough, oftentimes, demanding curriculum, but worth every ounce of sweat and energy we put into it. If you have moments of doubt and discouragement, don't be too quick to give in to them. In hindsight, I would say that each year became more streamlined and our work more efficient. I am convinced that nothing worthwhile comes easy to us, and that is true of home education and certainly applies to this curriculum. Stay in touch with other TOG users on this forum - they have a wealth of experience and are so willing to share with others. Also, the customer service people are great. If you don't find a question addressed or answered here, give them a call.

Welcome to TOG and may God bless you with His Spirit and His grace in the upcoming school year!

Laurie

I should have said that we are starting out with Year 2 Redesigned, as we haven't studied American history in 4 years.

Thank you for your encouragement, Laurie.
