Hello! I'm "Mama" to a 5yo girl and an almost 2yo boy. We're starting Year 1 for our first year of formal homeschooling (i.e. keeping track of attendance, making a record of projects, etc.).
My daughter is quite enthusiastic. I've got a pile of history and literature books on the table as I plan, and she's already reading through them (and reading about mummies to all our dinner guests).
I'm praying that we'll be able to continue homeschooling through high school, but we'll see how it goes. My daughter is rather strong-willed (I'm sure nobody else knows about kids like that), and we have epic clashes. But I really appreciate ToG's design to allow kids to have some control over their own learning.
We've used Five in a Row and Sing, Spell, Read, Write over the past couple of years, and we're continuing in Singapore Math. I'm also planning on starting Easy Grammar in the fall.
