I started a thread about D vocabulary. Susan in TX responded to say that the Redesign has vocabulary words but unless I'm overlooking it, all I see are words on the UG and LG levels. I also read a thread that Dana said to someone asking about UG, that, you don't need a vocab. program until D. So I'm still confused. If my D student already knows the LG and UG words,do I need to purchase another vocabulary book besides Tapestry?
Sorry to be so dense on the subject! I'm feeling a bit overloaded and want to cover all the bases!

I'm right there with you! (about being tired, that is!)

We recommend that around 8th grade, students begin a full-fledged vocabulary system in preparation for the future ACT/SAT tests. This doesn't have to be a program as such though. In years past, the test prep books (such as Kaplan), had an extensive vocabulary list that included definitions. Wherever you get the words, the student just needs to know the definitions.
