My son is bordering on Upper Grammar-Dialectic and I love the teachers notes for self education. Every now and then I read some of the rhetoric level books for myself too.

I'm considering year 3 because I've really gotten into the Impressionist Artists and the things that were going on in their time period, however I'm a bit concerned about buying year 3. My concern is mainly because Y3 spends an entire year for one century. I know lots happened during those 100 years, however looking through the Week Lists on the main TOG site, it looks like the primary focus is American History, with a little bit of English history sprinkled in.

Is that the case? Does year 3 go into other countries as well or just American & English?

Napoleon one week
Industrial Revolution one week
Reshaping Europe and South America one week
South America in transition one week

So out of nine weeks, I see four weeks with a non American focus.

Although I can't find a direct link (and I think this maybe in the free sample weeks) TOG does state that they believe the two most recent centuries are the most influential on us so they study them in the most depth.
