I just got done leading the history discussion for our on-line virtual co-op for week 28, R level. Thanks TOG for doing a great job contrasting developments in Britain and Russia (just by doing them the same day, the contrast is unmistakable!), and showing how developments in Russia helped set the stage for not only the Russian Revolution but also the first world war.

It was also very interesting and enlightening to see how things we take for granted were issues of reform in the 19th century.

I think our government leaders could benefit from reading the teacher's notes for this week, including the reform chart, showing Gladstone's reform of the tax code that simplified and lowered taxes while raising revenues!!!
