I own the Knowledge Quest Maps book. I understand that the Map Aids are also made by Knowledge quest. Should I still purchase the Map Aids or will it be redundant?

I don't have the Knowledge Quest book so I can't comment on that. However, I am a big fan of the Map Aids CDs. Although the maps are made by KQ, the other features found on Map Aids are convenient to a Tapestry mom.

1. Map Aids is set up by week by level. That means that you pull up whatever week you are in and click on the appropriate level(s) to get the exact map you need for that week's geography assignment.

2. There's a teacher answer map for each week. Sometimes there are a few map labels that we can't locate in our resources so we check the answer map.

So, could you use the KQ book? Absolutely! You would simply choose the map appropriate to the week and not worry too much about those occasional map labels which elude you. I know quite a few moms who go this route and are quite happy doing so.

You might not need another reply but I just wanted to give a very hearty recommendation for MapAids!!! I own the Knowledge Quest Map cds but still bough MA. I LOVE the MA- it is sorted out for each week & have the teacher one w/ all the answers. I tell people I think MA are MUST when you buy TOG.

Thanks so much for your comments. I purchased the MapAids but it is good to have reinforcement that a good decision was made.

If they are as good as the Writing Aids the money will be well spent.
