Hi there!

I have a question about year 3. Is it a lot of American history as it appears at first look? As a Canadian, I don't mind my kids learning *some* American history, but want them to learn Canadian as well of course...just wondering if it would require major substitution on my part to make it work.

Hello!
I think the short answer is yes. (grin) Year 3 is wonderful for me as an American - it integrates world and American history from the 19th century and makes all kinds of wonderful connections. However, most weeks are focused more on either world or American history. You could substitute in Canadian history during the Am history weeks and gloss over the American history to get the big picture. You would have to come up with your own discussion questions though. Hope this helps!
Blessings,
April
