I was on track with my plan below and had planned to combine weeks and be finished through 34; however, my dad's brief illness in ICU, death and funeral arranements had us ending school at the end of 31. Not only are we all emotionally tired and ready to be through with school, but there are church camps and swimming lessons this month as well as the fact that I have to go through dad's house and have everything out by the end of June. ( it is a rental) My boys know everything about the American Revolution. We've studied it before and have been to many of the actual places. They looked at the questions I had typed up and knew the answers to all of them EXCEPT the French REvolution ones. I also think we need to go through the Living Constitution as they only have superficial knowledge of the Constitution. We had planned to start school July 27th with my oldest being in rhetoric for Year 3. We need to start then as with various trips through out the year, we will barely finish by May 28th anyway..

So.. with swimming lessons, my daughter has 45 minutes then they have 45 minutes. So I thought for those two weeks, they could read the French Revolution books and any other books we didn't get to ( they love to read!! they were ahead in several of the books anyway) and then do the Living Constitution book during that time as well. I would not have the discussions or have them do any of the questions other than the Living Constitution ones for weeks 32-36.. Would that work??

Yes!! Why not? You know your family well. Emotions can play a lot into learning and teaching. It sounds like not only you want to stop here, but you NEED to. God's in control and if in your heart you feel to end here, then do. What does your husband say? If he is on board and you've prayed about it, rest in God's comfort. God bless you and I will pray for you and your family.
