Hi,
If you don't like to do many hands-on projects, you may particularly like America: Ready to Use. It has crossword puzzles, fill-in-the-blanks, games, and a few crafts. And, an added bonus is that it is also used in Year 3.

*The Ben Franklin book is probably the most time-consuming of the three, but is full of science experiments.

Hope this helps...

"Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.
I will proclaim the name of the Lord.
Oh, praise the greatness of our God!"
