Has anyone created a schedule for the weeks that correlate with the Middle Ages H&H activity kits? I want to use the kits for our hands-on activities, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone's already scheduled them out. Thanks for any help you can give!

Harried & pregnant in CA,
Jenna

Jenna,

We just put a few of the Hands and Hearts Activities into the TOG Year 2 Unit 1 plan. I put the Stained Glass Window in Week 3, the Jester Puppet in Week 4, Telling Time with Candles and Board Games in Week 6, Catapult and Chain Mail in Week 7, King's Coins and Knight Board Game in Week 9. This was just a quick plan based on the weekly topics. It may change some as we go through. Such as the kids did do the Jester Puppet but not the Stained Glass Window. So we will see what happens. I haven't planned Unit 2 yet since we won't start it until February.

I LOVE this kit!!
We used the quill pen, brown ink and gold pen for an illuminated manuscript in week 2 and ds just requested another one to do after we read 'Margerite Makes a Book'in week 10!! So that one we have done twice.

The Coat of Arms we did in unit 1, week 4.

Any of the castle related items (chain mail, catapult, crown) would be great in unit, 1 week 6. We did the jester puppet.

The games would coordinate with unit 1 week 7.

I am planning on using the telling time with candles in unit 2 on explorers; the stained glass window & the catapult I will also use in unit 2. I was thinking I would do the stained glass window with Martin Luther (nailed his thesis to the cathedral doors...).

My goal was to stretch the kit through units 1 and 2 and we only did one activity for the weeks we did one!
Blessings,
~Evelyn Mae
