I am about to start bawling. I bought a TOG Year 2 Redesign on ebay and I didn't realize there were two printings. This one is a First Printing. What does that mean? Are the SAPs going to be not as nice? What else am I missing? Sigh. I am so upset.
I already see one problem: the book list is not near as good as the book list I got with my Year 1 that I bought used last year. It only has the titles, no descriptions or anything, making it VERY difficult for me to figure out what books I need to get.

Waaahhh..
Is there any way to buy a new Loom??

Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

I have a first printing of Year Two and the book lists in particular have gone through some changes during Year Two's creation year. The book list you got with Year One is probably the biggest, fluffiest you will now receive; I don't believe getting printing two will get you a better book list.

However you can get more descriptions by visiting the book shelf central website.

I have a first printing for all of the years, but I don't think there's any difference in the "niceness" of the SAP's. I'm not sure what your concerns are, so please post again if you want to expound more. I thought the SAP changes from 1st to other printing dealt solely with book changes, i.e. if they had to replace a previously recommended book, they would provide an SAP for the newly recommended book.

Basically I think first printing mainly means you'll get more typos...but it's still not many!

Thank you to both of you. I panicked. I looked at the SAPs and they look like the ones I used with Year 1 last year. I realized this morning that I was confusing Classic edition with Second Printing. I breathed a sigh of relief that I didn't accidentally NOT buy a Redesign. Does that make sense?
Ok... the book list gig... How does one decide which books to buy if there is no description? Do you mean I have to go to the Bookshelf to read each book individually? Egads. Or is there somewhere else to look?

Thank you so much for posting. Truly.
I used Sonlight for seven years and we just finished our first with TOG. I'm still used to having a catalog that describes every book and then that wonderful book list last year.
